Ce ne fut pas là une option politique gratuite, mais une réponse a un mouvement d'éclatement historique de la société tunisienne. Paradoxalement, l'école tunisienne se développa en luttant contre son contexte et son projet annoncé. L'école ne libère par le savoir que ceux qui sont déjà libérés de par leur statut social. Cette inadaptation de l'école à son projet et à son contexte suscite bien une interrogation sur les possibilités de penser une autre école susceptible d'émanciper chaque individu. Toute libération réelle de l'individu par le savoir suppose de lui donner toutes les possibilités de s'en emparer. Pédagogiquement, cela exige que l'école tunisienne mette en place une pédagogie différenciée ayant pour fin inconditionnelle d'offrir à chaque individu toutes les possibilités de son évolution à partir de ce qui est différentiellement par rapport aux autres. Néanmoins, la mise en place d'une telle pratique pédagogique ne va pas de soi et se heurte souvent à des obstacles pédagogiques et institutionnels.; Since independence, Tunisia has set up an educational system in which the achievement of modern society is tightly linked and mainly rests on the degree emancipation of individuals. Rather than a disinterested political choice, that was in fact a reaction to the breaking up of the tunisian society that was underway. However, this system proved to be a failure and is now being led to destruction by its own structures. For education emancipates only those who are already emancipated from the social restrictions. the maladjustment of the current system to the reality and to its own initial projects urges us to ponder over the possibilities of creating a new system that garantees emancipation to each and every individual. effective emancipation of the individual by knowledge means offering him all possible means to acquire and to posses knowledge. From a pedagogical stand point, this implies that the tunisian education board should set up a set of differentiated educational methods that takes into account the social particularities of each individual and that provides him with all required facilities to his evolution.
